A Parable of Good : Info
Oct. 14th, 2001. This song came to me quickly, and it was finished within 1 or 2 days. I remember the thought (I no longer remember where it came from) of someone rescuing a baby from a burning house. At that moment, would it matter if it were a man or woman? White or black? Jewish or Arab?
A Parable of Good : Lyrics
There was a man, and he was a good man for a moment in time.
And in that fleeting moment nothing mattered.
No, it didn't matter if he was black or he was white,
or if he had done good before.
There are mansions made of stones, laid by humble hands.
When each deed is grounded on the right place, at the right time,
then all the pieces fit.
There was a girl, and she was a good girl for a moment in time.
And in that picture moment nothing mattered,
no it didn't matter if she was vile or she was poor
or if she had done good before.
