Pop Song : Info

I was seized by some sort of social fondness and this song always reminds me always of a Coca-Cola commercial... I can't remember if I intended the pun or not when I named it--I hope not. I started writing it in Japan, and I had finished by July 6th, 2000. I remember thinking about all of our late night runs to Village Inn, specifically the ones I opted out of because of too much homework.

Pop Song : Lyrics

I never was good at being friends;
I'd laugh and smile and then pretend
that I'd give you a call or drop a line,
but forgive me... I never took the time.

I regret not having fun
so many times when the night was young.
I saved up on sleep and money too,
but believe me, I thought of you.

CHORUS:
In the end no excuse can turn the clock back,
so take the time, be a friend and we'll never look back.
Think of me, think of you - don't you ever forget
life is short, fill it up, and we'll have no regrets.

Life was there when I had other plans;
happiness was a dirty old man.
I regret all that I didn't do,
so if you'll take it, this song's for you.
